Travel Essentials

Travel Essentials

So Chris and I are going on a little holiday to Venice in two weeks and being the overly excited me I've already picked out a few travel essentials for the trip!

I know travel make up is meant to be quite light and compact, but I choose to think that my Nars Steven Klein One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette is compact when you compare it to bringing a ton of individual blushes.. heh. I like to have a range of shades to choose from during my holiday as I can never be sure what look I'll like to go for during a particular day! Same goes for my Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette. I just feel so much more secure knowing that I'm not limited to a certain look.

As for all the other products, that's when I like to go for truly compact. I always bring my most trusty product in terms of primer, foundation, make up tools and applicators, etc. I've been trying out the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and been loving it so far. It makes my lashes appear much fuller and curls them well. It's perfect that I got a travel size tube of this too!

Apart from that, I'll definitely be bringing along my trusty Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, my Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler and my Beauty Blender. Having the Beauty Blender really saves me the effort of bringing a foundation brush, concealer brush, setting brush and all that jazz. It's just such a reliable all-in-one make up applicator. As for the rest, I like to bring along products that I already know are going to work well on my skin so that I don't have to fuss or worry about my make up when I'm enjoying my holiday.

Of course, I'd like to carry some dainty accessories for the trip too. My Daniel Wellington watch gives off a casual yet elegance feel and can easily go with almost any outfit.

What are some of your travel essentials?

  1. oh my gosh, you're so lucky! I hope you have the best time. I hope you document your trip on the blog so I can just look at all the pretty pictures. Great picks! I'm hoping to buy my Chocolate Bar palette as well as the Too Faced Shadow Insurance before my trip later this month. I definitely need to trim down my list of makeup I plan on bringing to Japan!
