Summer Lips

So recently I've discovered a few new summer lip combinations that I thought I'd share with you. Most of these lip products are ones that I've already owned, but over the past two months I've challenged myself to be more adventurous by trying out new looks.

Most of you would already know that the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams are one of my favourite lip products. However I do find that they aren't as long-lasting as I would like them to be. During my trip to Asia I managed to pick up a few Dear Darling Tints from Etude House. I wish I'd gotten more because they're so long-lasting and acts as a great base for those lip products that tend to come off more easily. With one application, it provides a sheer coverage but the product is extremely buildable. I usually apply just a small amount on the centre of my lips and blend the product out with my fingers, as I just want my lips to give off a natural flush. I wait for the tint to set on the lips before going over with my NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Abu Dhabi or Stockholm, and it just provides so much more coverage for the lips! And somehow, it helps my lip cream to stay on much longer as well compared to when I'm not using my lip tints. I no longer wear my NYX lip creams on its own now after discovering this amazing combination!

Another favourite lip product I can't stop wearing recently is my Kylie Cosmetics Matte Lip Kit in Candy K. I got this from Chris' cousin Sophie who was so sweet to give me hers because it wasn't suitable for her. (Thanks Soph!!!) And can I just say that I'm not even ashamed to admit that I've fallen for the whole Kylie Cosmetics hype (can we just take a minute to appreciate the Kyshadow palette..... drools) because I'm absolutely loving Candy K! They're soo matte and long lasting that you really gotta use an oil-based make up remover if you want it to even bulge. I would love to get my hands on more of her lip kits over time but the shipping cost is kind of nuts. :( I've heard that the NYX Lip Lingeries are pretty good dupes of some of the Kylie lip kits so I'm definitely going to be looking into them!
