Recent Beauty Favourites

Apologies for the lack of updates recently, it's been a very busy few weeks. Chris and I are moving soon and we've just been doing so much packing this weekend. Meanwhile, I have a huge workload for uni at the moment - a ton of assignments due over the next two months, a placement that has just gone into full speed, also am part of the upcoming Easter opera production. Also, due to the move, I'm trying my very best not to do any online shopping recently... which has proven to be so hard! Although one thing that has been keeping me sane is discovering new beauty products for the Spring season. :)

I've recently gone back to wearing more minimal make up since Spring is (kinda) here. I've rediscovered my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and my TheBalm Blush in Frat Boy. These two products create the perfect natural, soft flushed look for the season. I've also recently picked up L'oreal Color Riche Lipstick in 640 Erotique. This is a lovely mauve pink shade with some orange undertones, which really helps to brighten up the face. It's a really pigmented matte lipstick that's soo long-lasting, although I do find it a little drying which is why I always go in with a lip balm before applying this lipstick.

I've also been trying out a new mascara from the Lancôme Hypnôse range - the Hypnôse Doll Eyes. This one gives my lashes a good amount of length and volume, and no matter how many coats I apply, they never seem to clump - ever! This mascara is perfect for an everyday wear.

My star products of the month has got to be the Clio Waterproof Pen Liner in Kill Black and my Innisfree Eco Eyebrow Pencil. I was running out of my HG Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner and since I've repurchased it for countless times now, I was in the mood to try something new. Also, I've been getting quite a lot of influences from friends who are huge fans of Korean beauty/skincare products so I caved in and decided to try some myself.

I absolutely love my Clio Waterproof Pen Liner - it's just as good as my Stila eyeliner and that's saying a lot because the Stila is my absolutely HG! I was so impressed - the Clio eyeliner is just as precise and stays on all day too! Plus it's at a portion of the price of the Stila eyeliner. I bought this for a little more than £6 from Cosmetic-Love, which is an online Korean beauty shop that provides free shipping on all orders - such a steal! They do ship from Korea though so it usually takes 2-3 weeks for the orders to arrive, but it's definitely worth the wait!

I also picked up the Innisfree Eco Eyebrow Pencil as I've tried it a few times while going through a friend's make up (hehe) and fell in love with it ever since. It's literally £3.50 for one and does the job so well. I have nothing but praises for this product.

I love the feeling when you try out a new product and it just works like a charm. These two products are definitely getting my HG status!

What products have you been loving this month?

  8. I've had my eye on a Naked palette for so long, but can't justify myself buying more eyeshadows when I already have enough! I've been loving my Benefit blush in Coralista! Such a beautiful coral blush that acts as a highlight at the same time.
