Lush

Everyone deserves a good pamper once in a while. For me, I like to indulge in a bubble bath because it's just so relaxing and therapeutic. I would soak in a good bath for hours if I could!

Lush bath bombs are definitely one of my guilty pleasures. I get so excited everytime I drop a bath bomb into the tub and watch the fireworks go off! Everytime I pass by the Lush store in town I can't help but go in for a good sniff (and an occasional splurge)! Over the recent holiday season I'm very lucky to have been gifted some amazing lush products. Here are some of the ones I've received and a few old favourites of mine.

Bath Bombs

Fizzbanger
This is one of my favourite bath bombs! This has a citrus scent to it and produces a crackling sound when dissolving - it's almost like popping candy. It also contains petitgrain oil, which is used in aromatherapy to calm the breathing, slow the heartbeat and reduce feelings of anxiety. I always pop one of these into the tub when I want a good pamper night after a hectic week!

Sakura
I've got to admit that this one when dissolved isn't the most visibly appealing on its own, but it does smell pretty amazing. This bath bomb was inspired by the cherry blossom in Japan, and when dissolved looks mostly white with pink and blue bits. While it's not the most 'showy' bath bomb in the range, this has a lovely and delicate aroma to it and is extremely uplifting.

Bubble Bars

One thing that I find with Lush bubble bars is that you never really need to use much product to get a tub full of bubbles! For an average sized tub, I literally break off a third of the bubble bar and run it under the tap. Tip: To create lots of bubbles, I prefer to put the bubble bar in a sieve and run it under the tap instead of crumbling it!

Candy Mountain
This was one of the lush products I received for Christmas 2015. I'm saving this one up because it's limited edition and I simply can't bear to use it! It smells of sweet vanilla and candyfloss and just reminds me of Christmas candy!

A French Kiss
This one was also gifted to me during Christmas by a dear friend, and this bubble bar most definitely reminds me of something Blair Waldorf would indulge herself in, while sipping champagne with some French macarons at the side. This bubble bar has a lovely lavendar scent to it and contains coconut oil, which is an ace ingredient to help soften and moisturise the skin.

The Comforter
An old favourite of mine. I don't know what it is about this particular bubble bar that draws me in every single time, but I remember having this as my first ever bubble bar and being so impressed with it because it created sooo much bubbles! It's just so pretty and is in my opinion one of the more affordable bubble bars, just because you get such a huge amount for what you pay for. I always get a very decent amount of use out of this too - at least a good five or six! This is definitely one of the classic Lush products that you just always got to have!

Brightside
This is one of the products in a Christmas gift set that I was very lucky to receive. This one has a lovely citrus scent and contains tangerine oil, which apparently is known to uplift mood!

What's a pamper session without some good ol' Lush? What are some of your favourite Lush products?

Love,
Kayleigh x

  2. Lucky you to be gifted Lush! I'd love if someone gifted me Lush, but at the same time I'd be a bit sad because it's not something I can keep, haha. Nice little hack for the bubble bars - I usually hold mine under the tap and it inevitably ends up crumbling anyway, so i'll have to keep that in mind for next time. I've never tried any of these before, but my favorites have got to be Shooting Star and Dragon's Egg bath bombs. I like a show when it comes to my baths!
