Summer Favourites

So summer has come and passed, and we are officially approaching autumn.. How exciting!! This past summer has been such a lovely one, but it is time to hail in the new season of woolly jumpers, cardigans and trench coats. But before that I just thought I would share a few of my most loved products that have lasted me the past few months. :)

Home bits and bobs

So Chris and I have been living in our current apartment for close to 6 months now, and we've been absolutely loving every minute of it. Our place is perfect for the two of us, with all the facilities we would need in the building - a gym, sky garden, jacuzzi, sauna and parking. So recently we decided to make our home a little more cosy by personalising it with some posters. We used to have artwork placed around our home which came with the apartment, but we've put them away now to make space for some personalised poster prints.

Summer Lips

So recently I've discovered a few new summer lip combinations that I thought I'd share with you. Most of these lip products are ones that I've already owned, but over the past two months I've challenged myself to be more adventurous by trying out new looks.

Summer Beauty Finds

So Chris and I have just gotten back from our summer holiday in Singapore and Taiwan, and of course I had to bring back some new summer beauty finds. :) We had the loveliest holiday, with lots of sun, beach and Asian food. We've also just welcomed a little one into the family!!!! but more about that next time. :) As for now - here are some new summer finds that I've been absolutely loving.

Life Updates | Where have I been?

Hiiiiii y'all... Oh dear it's been too long since I've been here!

So here I am, sat at my desk with a cup of tea by my side, while trying to recall everything that's happened in the past two months. So Chris and I went on a little trip to Venice for his birthday, and that was such a lovely getaway for us. We had the best time there and it's definitely one of the best holidays I've had, ever. :) We were blessed with such good weather, lovely people, and amazing food. Two very dear friends of ours also recently got married, and we had a lovely weekend with everyone in Leeds. I've also recently just completed my third year recital, and am left with just two more assessments before I'm done for the year!

Chris and I are also absolutely looking forward to summer in Singapore, and yes I am finally going home! We've also recently made a huge decision and got some exciting news to share with friends, but that's going to have to wait till a little later... hehe. So many exciting things happening this summer! I would say life has been pretty good to me lately, there's always something to look forward to. :)

So I must say that recently I've actually been pretty good and have toned down slightly on the make up craze, as I've just been trying to use up current products. I'm also just waiting to go back to Singapore before I let myself loose and go on the ultimate make up splurge! ... So that aside, summer is finally here in England and recently we've been blessed with some pretty good days, especially for Manchester. As for me, I'm just really looking forward to the new sky garden and jacuzzi at our building to open, as they've recently revamped it. Time to get my summer tan on..! :))))

Here's hoping everyone's been well too. I'm going to try and utilise this space more often now that I'm less busy, no promises but I do miss having a space to consistently write in, so I'll try my best. :) Toodly doo guys x

Travel Essentials

So Chris and I are going on a little holiday to Venice in two weeks and being the overly excited me I've already picked out a few travel essentials for the trip!

Nike Roshe Flyknit

So the other day I ordered a pair of Nike Roshe Flyknit for myself after drooling over them for the longest time. Don't these kicks just look absolutely stunning? I had just casually chanced upon them on the Nike website, and saw that they were 40% off! I ordered them almost immediately and it only took 3 days for them to arrive.

Spring Face

So Spring is actually here! I can't begin to describe how ready I was to change up my make up for the new season - for some reason, this winter felt especially long. I think it was partly because of the hectic term I've had at uni, I'd barely gone out shopping at all! Anyway, I'm so excited to share with you guys some beauty products I've been loving and wearing for Spring. :)

Losing My (Chanel) Virginity

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, uni has been overwhelming this term! But it's finally Easter break now and I can't be any more excited! I promise I'll be more consistent with my blog from now on. Also, how is it that we're already more than halfway through March - where has all the time gone??? ... Anyway, since my last update, Chris and I have moved to our new apartment, which we're loving so much, I can't even begin to describe how happy we've been since the move! Life has just been really great lately.

Recent Beauty Favourites

Apologies for the lack of updates recently, it's been a very busy few weeks. Chris and I are moving soon and we've just been doing so much packing this weekend. Meanwhile, I have a huge workload for uni at the moment - a ton of assignments due over the next two months, a placement that has just gone into full speed, also am part of the upcoming Easter opera production. Also, due to the move, I'm trying my very best not to do any online shopping recently... which has proven to be so hard! Although one thing that has been keeping me sane is discovering new beauty products for the Spring season. :)

Home Inspiration

So today I've got some very exciting news to share with you! ... Chris and I are going to be moving into our new home! Squeals. We've been looking forward to this for so long now and everything's still in the midst of being processed - but it's all looking very positive! I've been getting some home inspiration from Pinterest recently and I can't wait to move in and start decorating our new home!

The Perfect Valentine

For Valentine's Day, Chris and I decided to treat each other to a pair of Daniel Wellington watches. And can I just say that... this watch is the dream. They're both such stylish and chic pieces that go so well with anything and everything. We've had our eyes on them for a while now so when the occasion presented itself (cheeky.. oops) we just had to get them. We both decided to get ones with NATO straps because they're more casual and we preferred them for everyday wear.

Everyday Make Up Brushes

I admit that I'm a hoarder when it comes to brushes. But does anyone else find feeling these soft, silky bristles extremely therapeutic? ... I've always believed that having the right make up tools is just as important as having the right make up products on your skin. These brushes are ones that I absolutely cannot live without - they're of great quality and are very affordable compared to many brands in the market like Mac and Sigma.

5 Drugstore Pick-Me-Ups

January for me is usually the hardest month financially. It's when the greatest festive season is over and my pockets are empty from the Boxing Day and January sales. It can be quite a blues-y month, but a cheeky drugstore splurge always perks me up! Drugstore purchases are my favourite go-to for a pick me up since it doesn't leave me feeling too guilty and that I've burnt a hole in my pocket. So today I've included a few affordable beauty faves that you could pick up from the drugstore too!

Winter Skincare Favourites

Here in the UK, January is always the coldest month as it is right smack in the middle of winter. As someone with oily/combination skin, I find this season to be the hardest for my skin. I tend to wear more make up during winter (think more coverage, bold eyes and lips) so it's important for me to prepare my skin right before I smack on some make up in the morning, as well as ensuring that everything is thoroughly removed at the end of the day so that my skin is fresh and clean again. Here are some of my current skincare faves!

Best Nudes

Every girl needs a staple nude lipstick. For me, well... I have six. My make up is never complete without a good nude lipstick to finish up the look. It's always good to have a bit of colour on the lips as it helps to balance your skin tone and avoid looking too pale or tired, and the perfect shade of nude can give your skin a natural glow.

January Face

This month, I've been trying out a few new products from the drugstore. I always love a cheeky drugstore splurge since items are much more affordable, so I also tend to feel less guilty after.. But of course we all understand how it's like to get a little too caught up in that..

Lush

Everyone deserves a good pamper once in a while. For me, I like to indulge in a bubble bath because it's just so relaxing and therapeutic. I would soak in a good bath for hours if I could!

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set

Last Christmas, Chris spoiled me with some very pretty and luxurious make up brushes. I've been wanting this for ages as I've heard so much about the Zoeva brushes and how they're so affordable for its superb quality.

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette

One brand that I have always been particularly fond of is Zoeva. If you guys didn't know, Zoeva is a German brand founded in 2008, hence still relatively new to the make up industry. Don't underestimate this brand though - while it is quite new, it is also very quickly winning over the hearts of many. I would say that their products are pretty affordable compared to brands like Nars, Benefit and Urban Decay to say a few. And not to mention its amazing quality!
