Best Nudes

Every girl needs a staple nude lipstick. For me, well... I have six. My make up is never complete without a good nude lipstick to finish up the look. It's always good to have a bit of colour on the lips as it helps to balance your skin tone and avoid looking too pale or tired, and the perfect shade of nude can give your skin a natural glow.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss 43
This one is definitely the lightest nude shade in my entire lipstick collection. It's a very light tan, peachy nude. I don't have many light nudes because they always tend to wash me out and I end up looking more pale than ever, but this one was the exception. I usually put this one on when I'm wearing a decent amount of bronzer and/or eye make up and don't want to draw too much attention to my lips.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss 08
This is my favourite drugstore lipstick of all time. This has a mauvy, rosy pink, almost brown shade that looks universally flattering. The texture of these Kate Moss lipsticks are very creamy such that they don't dry out your lips too. The colour goes on so easily and stays for a good amount of time, although after a meal I usually find myself having to touch up.

MAC Brave
This is the latest addition to my MAC lipstick collection and I LOVE IT. It's also my most pinkish lipstick of all. If you didn't know, I'm not one who feels very comfortable wearing pink lipsticks as my skin has very warm, yellow undertones and I find them too bright for my liking. But this one - I just feel so comfortable wearing! It just gives my face a natural glow that goes so well with my natural bronzey look. It does look quite pink on the lips but it's definitely a "my lips but better" shade for me. This also has the most amazing staying power - I can wear this all day and through a whole meal and I still don't have to touch it up!

MAC Mocha
Oh, haven't I talked about this enough already? ... I bought this when the Kylie Jenner lip was first trending, and it's my perfect mauve/brown/nude lipstick. I like to line my lips with MAC Boldly Bare when I'm wearing this, and it just makes my lips look full and plump. I find that I love MAC lipsticks with a satin finish - they're not too matte (which can be quite drying sometimes) but are full coverage, and still provide a good amount of moisture to my lips. They're just so comfortable to wear during the colder and drier seasons.

NYX Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm and Abu Dhabi
Another drugstore lip product, but this one works more like a liquid lipstick in a sense that you apply it with doe-foot applicator onto the lips. The NYX Matte Lip Creams have a thick creamy consistency that dries to a matte finish. It's not at all drying though! Stockholm is a warm peachy nude that has just the right amount of pink for me. Abu Dhabi is a brownish nude shade, but more of a pale brown compared to MAC Mocha. These lip creams, when just applied, also have a lovely vanilla scent that lingers for a while until the product dries completely.
